I just got my license suspended for a year. 'Convicted' of minor in posession of alcohol. What a joke. I have spent nearly 4k dollars on my custom turbo kit over the past months, reading this board non-stop for about a year, getting ready to turbo my GSR. Now thanks to my genius actions and a stupid law, i killed it. I guess '**** happens' though. I think ill go binge drink my sorrows away now.

 

Sucks man. Just keep driving but be carefull. Or dont, but I do.

Holy **** man that sucks, could you take it to court and try to plea bargain, maybe for a **** load of community service or something?

 

Looks like your car is gonna be really clean for the next year. At least you will be saving $$$ on oil and filters.

 

Sorry to hear that dude. I had a DUI when I was 20 and I know I don't have to tell you how bad it sucks. My advice, stay positive, steer clear of the bottle until your of age, and do not drink and drive!

 

let me get this straight, were you DUI, or just had alcohol in the car?
where the fucj do you live...I would move with laws like that, come to Canada you can drink at 17 if you are in the military....or wink wink have a military ID.

 

i was sitting in the passenger seat of my friends parked car, having a beer when the cops rolled up. apparently there is a no-tolerance thing with alcohol. Pretty rediculous if you ask me.

 

Yup, zero-tolerance is what got me. I blew a .03 and all I needed to blow was a .02 to be arrested for a DUI since I was only 20 at the time. The law went into effect in MI in Nov. 1995 and I was arrested Feb. 1996. That sucked, but it taught me a lesson and I have changed for the better because of it.

Hehe, back in the day, me and two friends of mine got 8 hours each of community service for open containers in public and for being underage. It was a joke of a sentence. The cops laughed at us as they took our beer saying "Damn, couldn't you have gotten us some better beer". Hey, when your 16, you take what you can get. The funny part is I had fun doing my community service. I moved some boxes for like an hour and then had fun with a paper shredder trashing goverment documents the rest of the day

That sucks about your license though. I occasionally get mine suspended
