Just got an AP2!!!
Hey everyone, ive been trolling around this forum for quite some time now, ever since i wanted an s2k to learn as much about them as i could.
I got a fantastic deal on a 2005 Silverstone/blk w/ 4100 miles from a dealer!
My question is, they said they changed the oil, im assuming with conventional. when should i switch to synthetic?
Also with so few miles, should i limit my revs or is break-in only required for the first couple thousand miles?
Thanks
-Pics will be up shortly. just washed/waxed today!

Have fun and congrats on the new car! Hold off on the mods for a bit, invest a little time to just driving the car, you don't want to get into a sticky situation with more power if you don't have the seat time to enable you to control it.

It should still be under warranty. If you bring LE607 to your 15k maintenance and ask them to use it, they probably will do it for you, unless they're dicks. Same thing with the 30k tranny flush.

im about to go over to s2ki.com to search on this but what are you guys opinions on the Honda Care extended warrenty that covers basically everything for 100k miles?
im interested to know what mods will void the warrenty because the warrenty is for EVERYTHING on the car other than wear items (ie tires filters brake pads spark plugs etc...)
thanks

Honda Care is not a manufacturer's warranty...it is an insurance policy. As such they are able to cancel the insurance for even the smallest of mods that may have zero to do with the failed part. It will really depend on the relationship you have with your dealer/service manager who will be the point of contact to Honda Care...if they blab about your exhaust and coilovers your Honda Care policy may be canceled when you bring the car in with a transmission problem.
With a manufacturer's warranty the law states that they must prove the failure was due to the mod in order to void the warranty (and then only on the effected component).
