Default Good way to repair scratched up rims?

I've got stock GSR fat fives that i've never really taken care of, but now, instead of paying for new rims, i'd like to 'restore' these ones. what's the best way to do this?

should i get them powder coated??

Nah polishing off like a gram or so of metal isn't going to cause rotation problems on a 19lb wheel.

got this from wikipedia:

"a heat treatment wherein the microstructure of a material is altered, causing changes in its properties such as strength and hardness."

i read it makes the wheel weaker....

Powdercoating is safe for Honda wheels, I haven't personally seen any fat fives powdercoated but they are the same material/ strength as meshies/blades/ etc. They are safe to powdercoat just like any other OEM Honda wheel. Feel free to post up some pics/ links to prove me wrong.
