Well, the crx is going in for paint soon, but we have a shitload of bodywork to finish before it does. The rex is being sprayed inside and out ppg flat black. everyone is asking me "why are you just painting it flat black" and the answer to that question is "i'm a badass like that " The body on the crx is actually really good minus the rear quarters. I got this crx for $100 from one of my buddies and it has never been in an accident, all the body lines are perfect on it. I hate honda rust

but seriously, I'm trying to build a jdm crx with my own little twist on it. Me and my dad used to build rat roads and the flat black thing is just kinda in my blood. But onto the build.

<u>Motor consists of:</u>
jdm b16a w/ a ys1 tranny and gsr bottom end. motor is being rebuilt right now with ctr pistons, full skunk2 valvetrain including flat valves. Most likely be using crower 403's and a hondata s300. I'm making ITB's right now with a set of 954rr throttle bodies I think lol. I might just fork over and buy a set of Jenvey's. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. im using an ericks racing chipped pr3 ecu

<u>Exterior consists of:</u>
First thing going on is the flat black paint job. After that I have a set of jdm vtec taillights, a full jdm front clip, password jdm front lip, jdm doors, shaved gas door, shaved hatch wiper, shaved rear wiper squirter. I'm debating on doing the jdm style vis front bumper (the one that actually does look like the mugen bumper) and vis sides and rear. Yet another bridge well have to cross on our journey. I think or now I'm just going to keep it the way it is. I also have a jdm vis carbon fiber hood.

<u>Suspension consists of:</u>
Skunk2 pro series coilovers on all four corners, skunk2 rear lower control arms, benen subframe brace, skunk2 front and rear sway bars, gsr front and rear disc brake setup, skunk2 extended lugs and wheel studs.

As far as wheels go I have a set of 15" mugen m7's and a set of 15" bronze wedsport sa-90's. both are wrapped in advan rubber.

Ihate this picture it makes me want to cry lol. The other side didnt rust out, go figure. were welding in all new metal on the rockers and cleaning the rust off of EVERYTHING. gas door shaved.


I'll get some better pics later of the build. I wanted to post this next pic to give you guys a better idea of how the car is going to look when its done.

The lower portion that is highlighted in blue is going to be gloss black, including the molding on the sides, and the "molding" thats part of the front and rear bumpers. The roof will also be black as well as the small exposed part of the hatch. The hood will be a vis carbon hood. The passenger side mirror will be replaced with a blockoff plate of an ef hatchback and the drivers side mirror is off of a jdm sir. yet another thing that is just me, flame if you want. haha



everyone should know that this project is in no rush and is being worked on after my eg is is being worked on. That is top secret all i can say is i eat alot of special K

haha i forgot to add that part duh... I have fal lexan race windows for the rear sides. On the drivers side I'm going to cut a hole out for a cbr1000rr gas door and run it to a fuel cell in the rear hatch.
