I've heard of some 97-8's run Jdm itr ecu's. I was wondering what the benefit of doing this was?

For the 00-01's since the Jdm Itr ecu's will not plug directly, would a Ctr ecu work? I've heard this from a couple people. What would be the gains performance wise.

 

It would not fit...also you wouldn't want to use a ecu that was programmed for a 1.6L in a 1.8L as they will have somewhat different injector pulsewidths and timing maps. I'm running Hondata at the moment, and I'm happy. I purchased and had it tuned locally by Lawrence at DynoSpot Racing in the Mountain View area, although they are relocating to San Jose shortly.

a ctr ecu of the same year will fit, but like austin said, theres no point.
