16" rims and tire size opinions
Just got my first CRX a few weeks ago and I'm already looking to upgrade! Gonna start with the tires and rims.
I've got a sweet deal lined up for 16" Borbet rims with 205/50 16 Falkens for an '89 DX. Anything I should be concerned about as far as fit? Rubbing? Should I go down to a 40 or 45 low pro?
I have no plans on lowering the car.
I was leaning towards 15" rims based on comments I've read here but this deal just seems too good to pass up.
Thanks for your thoughts!

I rock 215/40R16 Pirelli Pzero Nero on 7x16 OZ Superleggera.
Have lowered the car about 90mm - no rubbing at all.
The best size imho.

Lots more tire options there, and cheaper tire prices. Get 205-50-15 not to mention 15's are lighter most of the time.

Ah yeah, I forgot.
That's the different between theory and practice.
USA= slow driving, mostly straight = Acceleration
Germany= fast driving, very much curves = good driving aibilities
The Superleggeras are called superleggera because they are very light.
The difference between 15' and 16' in acceleration is small. But the handling of the car is much more better (smaller tire-flanks = more stability).
I drive light 16's because I dont want to rev to the delimiter all the time I drive the Autobahn....ok...so what. I didnt get the differences between the old world and you.

concur
Buy the wheels, sell those 50 series tires, and replace with new 40 series ones
