Finally got some Expo6 video online
Yeah, if you have 10 minutes to kill.. here's some video from the last session Tuesday, with KY riding shotgun.
http://video.google.com/videop...70770
(recorded 16x9, displays 4:3)
Anyhow, had a blast, tried not to get passed by any NA guys, corded some tires that deserved to be corded, and had some fun with the "understeer" pedal.
Nice seeing everyone again.

Great footage Chris! That run was a blast! I've never been in a road racing Honda that had that much GO! Thanks again for the ride and best of luck in the HC, that beast and your skill will be shredding RA1s and rolling the HU class ballers

Not everyone...I couldn't get in my kaa fast enough to get grided behind Chris. I thought that might make a pretty good show for everyone. I could try to keep up at least.
The one time I was 1 car behind, Chris kept getting traffic between us & then that stupid window net bar got lodged under my foot
Zipties should be my friend.
Good video Chris - Hope you had fun!!

The voice was actually me bitching about turning in early for #3... I was trying to turn in later, but kept coming in early enough that I had to use the curb, which wasn't a friendly curb.

GT2781R.. last dyno was about 320 WHP, it's probably similar now but with a better torque curve. It is definitely less when it's hot. The powerband is awesome, tons of torque at 3000-3500. Here's the old dyno with the "wrong" exhaust housing on it, crappy EBC, too-small wastegate spring

Oh, sure Goodnow.. "window net bar stuck under my foot"... hehehe...
Yeah, definitely had fun, though I wasn't particularly impressed with my driving
A few more sessions at Gingerman ought to buy me a second or two. Sorry we didn't get to play more on track, that would have been fun.

Nice video Chris. I regret not putting a camera in mine and get some footage.
You seem to brake way too early for some of the turns, or maybe your speed are much higher at the end of straights so you need to brake earlier. Anyway, I'm sure with more seat time there, you would be flying.

True true. I leave a lot of braking on the table, in a lot of places. My brakes and tires were not inspiring confidence
I was getting close to the limit in a few places (usually 1, sometimes 11) but had lots of brake left coming into 5, 10, 7.. 3..... yeah...
I have a strange brake pedal. After they get cooked/hot a couple times, they are spongy until they heat up again, then they feel good again. I must have surprised KY a bit warming up my brakes during the warmup lap, not too many people do that in HPDE, but mine were kinda scary until they warmed up.
Maybe the pads warp and get "springy" when cold. The fluid is dark but no bubbles. I am going to toss these before Mid-O (or maybe save them as spares, if they have enough meat left).

Have fun = run your video in windows media & run mine or dougs in realtime.
If you do partial screen, you can run both at the same time & synch them...It's an interesting way to watch variations in driving.

Eerie. Neat! I'll have to try it again at home with sound... they look pretty much the same though, well, lots of similarities.

You should be afraid
Mine lasted umm... 7 HPDE days with a stock motor, big radiator and oil cooler.
Stock, EGT was 1600, Oil temp was 260-280, A/F was full scale rich (11:1), boost was 8-9 PSI, Oil pressure was mostly good.
After build and propping up the hood, EGT is now 1600, Oil is 240-280, A/F is full rich (11:1), boost is 15 PSI. I have seen oil as high as 315, and EGT as high as 1800.
I noticed in my vid, the oil pressure was fine except under throttle in right turns (as far as I can tell). Then, it would drop and sit at 40 PSI. on the straight it was 60-80. It could have been air bubbles in the oil, or it could have been just the lower RPM. I have a feeling it was sucking air even with the Moroso pan, but not much air.

Yeah, I was yelling at myself for the curb in turn 3 (slowest right hand turn, 3 turns after the tower and checker flag station) I would turn in too early, and then just hold it to cut the corner off a bit.
