Default creative radar detector mounting

i dont know if anyone needs this or cares......to each his own....so if you dont like it get bent...
i just used the suction cups and bracket...pulled the a pillar garnish... pulled the headliner down a little ran the wire over and down using a few small zip ties and wired it to a fuse with its own small fuse
since i have a 2dr coupe and the fuse panel has fuses in it for the rear wondows and they are keyed on hot i just used one of those and wired a small fuse holder inline just incase. feedback appreciated but not necessary

1. It looks like you have a crap detector.

2. It will not pick up a signal coming from the rear...at least not that high up on the windshield.

3. If you don't like it...get bent.

there are only two radar detectors that i would buy...

one of them i have which is the valentine 1...best place to mount the radar detector is at the bottom of the windshield because cops usually aim for a reflective area of your car and thats either your headlights or license plate...

i used to mount it up top but id rather not get a ticket and have my radar be useful...

really i did think about this before i mounted it there
i figured it would be alot easier tokeep my field of vision clearer and the wire thing
the only reason i actually hard wired it was cause i hate the curllllyllyllyyl
wire hangin down to the cig lighter lol
thanks for the insight
when im not broke as a crackhead ima buy a val. 1
and ill mount it on the bottom just for you
cause i know you like it on the bottom j/k

In order for it to work in all directions you have to make sure it faces outside both front and rear windows. If you don't you might as well get a cheap *** one that doesn't have 360 protection.

I've had my V1 in the middle of my windshield for 3 years and it works great. I've had tickets but none for speeding.

Here in Tx I guess its not illegal to have a radar detector cause no cop has said anything about it.

the main point..lol

360 or not, you are not gonna get full function by mounting that high. maybe 40% working. go to V1 website, and read how mounting can make different

Gotta ride in a car with a good one...V1s differentiate between the different bands and I believe they don't beep much for things like automatic doors etc.

If I had $400 to blow I would have a V1 in my car for sure. My friend has one in his Evo and it's amazing. I don't even drive very fast, but every now and then I wanna do like 70 in a 55 and I'm sick of worrying about those BS tickets!

That POS radar detector won't even detect all the cops that are using POP technology these days. Get a V1. My V1 got stolen

The main thing I like about the V1 is the directional arrows. I love knowing where those buggers are at. Also, if they ever do an upgrade you can send yours in and they will put the upgrade on it. You don't have to buy another one.

From Wikipedia:
"United States law varies from state to state, but detectors are generally legal under the Communications Act of 1934.[2] Exceptions:

Illegal in all vehicles: Virginia, Washington D.C.
Illegal in commercial vehicles: Illinois, New York (specifically, commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs. and all vehicles over 18,000 lbs.)
Indirectly illegal: Minnesota (illegal to hang anything from the windshield) "
