JDM Recaro height adjustment???
I am not sure if there is a clear cut answer for this, but I honestly did search before starting this thread and I mostly found FS threads or unrelated threads dealing with the JDM Recaro's. So for those of you "sporting" the JDM Recaro's this question is directed towards you or to anyone who may have an honest answer.
I was wondering if the JDM Recaro's drivers side seat could be set lower (height wise) in the car?
Now I am sure I can hack up my JDM bracket to achieve this...but it isn't worth that much trouble
.
I thought that maybe I could use US Recaro brackets...but the last set of SRD's I had with brackets didn't have a slider...and the adjustment was dependent on what holes you used on the side rails. That was easily 6-8 years ago
.
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. Many thanks, and of course some of us are better searchers then others so if someone does find a thread about this, please be so kind as to point me in the right direction.
Cheers

This is the best option I've seen. I sat in DB8sirg's car that has them while at Expo and it felt great. Seems like it lowers you by around 2"... details here -

you can try the Mr. Alex seat rail, they have application for recaro SR series
however, it may take around to get them because last time when i ordered, it took 1~2 months, and it was still back order

My car came with a spoon rail on the drivers seat but i didnt like the low stance and so swapped it with a freind for a standard seat rail. I'm 6ft tall and with the spoon rail i sat real low, the bottom of the window was in line with my ear and when parking i had to boost myself forward to look out over the steering wheel...it was a PITA!

That is pretty much what I was looking for, thank you guys.
Do these Vision rails put the Recaros closer to where the stock ITR seats would have been?

they will be lower than stock, and I love that.
The jdm rails make the seat more of a "bucket" seat with the front tilted towards the sky! and my knees hit the steering wheel all the time. And like you said, they sit super high.

excellent...could anyone who has the vision rails take a quick side pic shot of the Recaros on the Vision rails? That way I can compare the stock JDM height to the vision height.
