the day i fear most has came... my hid ballast is shot...does anyone know where i can purchase one ballast for the jdm integra front....i really don't want to buy a pair of hid headlight...cause they aren't cheap

You should be able to pick up an aftermarket ballast (philips for example) that will work perfectly.

 

how did you fry a ballast, and are you sure its the ballast? i have arc'ed and reversed the polarity on the wiring for a number of ballasts and never had any of them go out. bulbs yes, they do go bad, but i've never seen a bad ballast.

the second poster is correct, you can use any ballast you want, but it won't be as clean as OEM, as you'd have to remove the OEM ballast and ignitor assembly, then mount up some aftermarket parts. plus the output might not be the same as the other side. your best bet is to find someone that has a single headlamp assembly for sale and buy that.

Goodluck on the fix, I hope this never happens to mine. If its consistantly that one side, have you used a testlight to check for current? If the wiring was done shoddy something could have come loose.

 

+ invest in some traction bars to keep the wheel hop to a minimum
