Default Cat conversion - OBDI to OBDII

I picked up a 2.5" Carsound from a friend. Currently, it is set up for an OBDI vehicle (no o2 sensor on the cat). How difficult would it be to add the secondary o2 sensor to the cat? Does the sensor need to be in a specific place, angle, or distance from the primary o2 sensor? Or, should I just run it as-is (it will throw a code) until I convert my car to OBDI? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

go buy an O2 simulator, for $35. you could sell it later when you go OBD I
if you go to the shop, the part where the O2 screws in itself is $10, plus labor $50/hour

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about the o2 sim, but I really don't want to mess with the wiring. I've got a friend that can do the welding on the cat, so that won't be a problem. Any other ideas?

thanks for the info., slickshoe. does the bung/o2 sensor need to be at a specific distance or location from the primary o2 sensor in order for it to work correctly? I understand that it doesn't need to be in the cat (like you pointed out already).

Thanks for all the help. It doesn't seem like it will be that bad of a project.
