Default Fit or Fit Sport?

Ok so, Im changing the wheels to Rota SlipStreams as soon as i get the car, (i figured the $1500 difference from the spoon SW338s was best spent elsewhere) so my question is, should i just go for the Fit, oor opt for the Fit Sport? Is there anything really that important on the Fit Sport thats being left out of the base model? The kit on the Fit Sport isnt all that attractive either so im thinking fit but... Just throw some opinions, info, or advice out. Thanks...

To each his own. The differences are pretty much all comsmetic aside from paddle shifters and cruise on the automatic.

These things look nice on slips from what I heard.

I would get the Fit Sport and sell the rims/tires and the body kit since you dont seem to care about those two options.

Perforated Leather Steering whl
Paddle shifters (AT only)
200 watt stereo w/6 speakers

Why go to all the extra effort and instead just buy a base fit?

I have power windows and locks in my base model.

"better" stereo? give me a break. 2 more speaks and 40 watts is not better; just more.

the mp3 is the iPod link. No iPod = no worky (from what I understand).

Hey "Hasafraker"...

I don't mean this in the wrong, harsh, abrassive way normally given in these forums but geez... That's twice you've done that now.

Do your homework a bit more when chiming in on topics like these.

Please.

Well "ive heard" that removing the kit leaves holes... I might end up buying a mugen kit for it but if i choose not to i dont want to be stuck with the sport kit, or holes in my body... Im thinking fit, slips, mugen kit (as far as cosmetics goes) and with any other cash i could opt for exhaust, intake, or what i really want, some suspension or brake upgrades... thanks for all the help!

remember if you're going to do a mugen or any JDM kit for that matter, you'll have to do a complete front end conversion.

If I remember correctly, the holes from removing the kit are underneath the body so it wouldn't be visible. But from what I'm reading you're better of just getting a base model. If you want the iPod music link you can buy that as a dealer accessory.

The MP3/WMA CD capability, CD text, and 5 mode equalizer that come with the Fit Sport radio are neat options to have.

The AUX input that comes with the Fit Sport will work with any audio output. So this includes an iPod, satellite radio, and so on.

I didn't know the aux. input supported other mp3 players. And as for the CD text options and stuff like that, yes, it is neat. But for me no reason to get the sport. To each their own, however.

And those options still don't make it "better"

IS there no USDM kits from spoon or mugen or anything JDM like that? And whats the difference with the JDM front end? Is it worth all the money youll end up spending on it?

To my knowledge there are no USDM Mugen or Spoon kits for the fit, yet.

Also, nice username. Old Hopesfall is good stuff

maybe the OP didn't know about those differences. Or maybe no one here was able to post about all the small and minute differences that have been listed on the page. In any case he is contributing to the total knowledge and information present in this thread.

If you are not going to contribute to this thread, keep the comments to yourself rather than trying to be witty. kthxbye.

If you're talking about them Completely Stock and unmodified... then yes... I'll agree to that.

However... when modded... I will not agree.

But again... to each his own.

Some like blonds... some like red heads.

But we all like vaginas!

look at all the options that the sport model has over the base model, leather steering wheel, audio system, ALARM W/ KEYLESS ENTRY, fogs.... some of the stuff i wouldnt care about but nice to have. im so used to keyless entry that i would have it installed anyways and the fog lights looks niceeeeeeeeee. for an extra $1300 bucks, it's a steal, you can sell your alloy wheels for at least $800 and the body valences.... well you get the i dea

Base model Fit + aftermarket wheels + aftermarket suspension + aftermarket alarm = the car I'd want.

Why pay extra for features that ar going to get changed out???
