ok from what i have heard, vtec does not work when check engine light is on. but for some reason i'm getting code 23 and the check engine light come on will i'm driving. the only code it show is 23. what gives? and the motor misses alot i replace cap and rotor today i have already put new plugs and wires on it so i'll see if the cap and rotor help. but whats causing the code.

Code 23 = Knock Sensor. Is it plugged in? if so, replace it. Knock sensor is sorta of a good sensor to have .

 

it s plugged in and vtec still works with check engine codes. i think i need to reset the ecu. because i didn't have a knock senor for a couple of days and then when i got it codes never went away so it probbly stored.
