what did you make this weekend?
i made this over the week end. i used the stock crx towing plate so that i still have a spot to pull it from if i need. i also used the stock tourque rods so that i could use the stock lower control arm without modification. It cost me $35 in stock and the better part of 2 days to design and build based on a trusty tape measure and some pics ive seen of some that you buy for 400 bucks.
p.s. do not attept this unless you have good design and fab skills it was not easy.
look mom dank nasty traction bar !!
this is the top and what you see when you look down in the engine bay

Good job on that traction bar it will do the job, My buddy has a 92 Integra that comes with a tractoin bar but is not solid I told him to change the bushings and make it solid but he does not believe me he thinks he has to buy one for 350 im going to show him this pic, nice work
i hope thats strong. the CRX and DA's rely on the member to keep the car straight, if it fails, you're screwed !! whereas on the EG'DC'EK's it doesnt matter as much if it were to fail.
it is very strong thick material yet not heavy (20lbs). i multiple pass tig welded all the joints and this bar now has a total of 10 bolts holding it on, compared to the 4 stock mount holes. the car will decintigrate in the next 300 years and that thing will still be sittin intact on the ground. ha

no engine mount?
i made one for my freinds DA and the main bar didnt have to bend like yours because we placed the bar right underneath the tow hooks. had to cut the radiator mounts off and mount the radiator to the crossmember but thats actually a good thing. nice to see you did use all the mounting points though.
oh we made his out of 2" square and 3/8th plate. *beefy* even with aluminum arms and heim joints the DIY price was still only about 100 bux...

look really good !
great weld's
but I think you will have problem with alignment, you don't have anyway to adjust the lenght of the radius arm... so I think youll end up with indesirable front toe on the tire.
but it's an easy mod to do after the bar is intalled.
good work.
