88 CRX suspension differences?
OK i know the front strut is a different size but what else is different? I am planning to swap the suspension to 89-91 spec but i need to know what parts are different. TIA.
88 suspension is different in the rear, everythign else are the same. BUT HF hubs on CRX HF are smalller and can only accept HF axles ends, but that can be swap with DX or Si suspension.
If your swapping the rear, think about doing the rear disc swap if your looking for the look/noise removal/easy serviceability. Basically, it's cooler, easier thing to work with, just doesn't stop as good. But rear discs are sweet. You can find them off 90-91 CRX Si or 90-93 Integras for the easiest swap. You can swap pretty much anything else at that point.
You can fit 5 lug type R suspension if you want.

youd only have to switch out the rear lower control arm and shock. the rest is pretty much the same parts. the front shock is not any different really other than the brake line collar. its not a different size to my knowledge.
just got back from oahu yeah. gotta find me some spicy poke... wish safeway here in california had it....

there are some good aftermarket setups that account for the difference in 88's
but if you really have your heart set on changing it, then by all means go for it.

Contrary to polular belief, 1989-1991 suspension is functionally identical to 1988 suspension on a 1988 car. The only functional difference on 1989-1991 cars is the compensator arm mounting position.
