Using CRV Front Hubs for 5 Lug Swap - Can the CRV Axles Work in the Integra/ Civic
Been a while posting, but I came up with a good question to discuss...
As you may know we built the RWD/AWD Integra a while back.... Whe we built the Integra and converted it we used genuine Type R front hubs for the 5 lug swap. Hence, when we put the CRV Transmission in the car the Integra Axles plugged in and worked for the front drive system.
Since we now had some CRV front hubs around we thought we might just use these to complete the 92 Civic Hatch we built a while back for Pikes Peak and Rallying. Here's where the trouble came in: The CRV axles bind in the smaller track (front right front to left wheel distance) civic chassis.
Heres the facts:
1. To use the 5 lug CRV hubs the CRV outer joints must be used.
2. The Integra Inners must be used to work with the now installed Type R transmission.
3. The length of the CRV axles is just too long.
So...
Here comes the question of the day:
What axles can be used with the Type R transmissiona and the CRV outer hubs that are plug and play, if any?
I am sure many of you will never need to know this because you already have the Type R vehicle.
But, in my experience most of you whom own Type R's have graduated to this vehicle through owning and playing with many hondas in the past...
Any help would be appreciated-

I'd just as well assume that the CRV uses 36mm outers, while the USDM ITR uses 32mm. That said, a set JDM ITR axles could be tried, Prelude axles (depending on length, my guess would be the non-SH), RSX-S axles could be given a go, and the last one to try would be older model 6 cylinder Accord axles.
My bet would be on the JDM ITR axles.

Dear God Why!!!!!

You might have better success in the Hybrid or other forums. ITRs come with 5 lugs so theres no reason for us to mess around with this ongoing struggle to obtain 5-lug by any means possible.
I was thinking the same thing. I only spewed off the stuff I read from K20a.org. Those guys have got many, many Honda brand axles measured.
You just may want to try searching there. If you can't find it through a search, ask the question to [can't think of user names (will edit later)]. He and others have so many axle parts laying around from different Honda vehicles, he can give you a definitive answer.

Sorry, I know that's not much help but I will try to remember to come back and answer this one, or find you someone that can.
