hey guys.
Wandering if anyone here has rotor/caliper replacements for their gen2 (87-91) CRX and where you got them from?
Brembos or the like? any contacts?
thanks
Mike

I added the FastBrake big brake upgrade kit on my 89 Civic Si and I really like the performance. I've done both the front and rear kits, although you probably don't need the rear disk conversion unless you're racing, or you really need to rebuild everything on the rear, which is what I needed. The front kit alone adds much more stopping power with the 11" rotors and the larger Integra calipers. Highly recommended IMO.

I have EX spindles, Accord wagon calipers, and prelude VTEC rotors redrilled in the front, with stock disc in the rear, it stops great. Kits are over rated and over priced. You can achieve the same thing with a few hours junkyard shopping. Make sure you upgrade your MC too.

There you go. One of the cheapest/best upgrades you can do to braking.
PS: Rear discs are overrated. They do not stop/hold as good as drums. They also add weight. They aren't neccesary for racing at all, whoever said that. They are more or less for show. I'd do it, cause it looks better then drums, and it's easier to service then drums...******* springs.

I will be doing the ITR Calipers with 11" rotors soon (just ordered the rotors yesterday) so once I get a chance I will install these and show pics!
I purchased some reman calipers/pads new from someone (not a shop) here in Houston and they look great!
I would look into buying some of these as there not that expensive and I'm getting the Brembo rotors (front only) shipped to my place for $90.

using the EX knuckles gives you the same rotor and caliper as the DA integra. its different than using just the whole DA knuckle because the EX knuckle is otherwise the same as any EF knuckle, whereas the DA knuckle is a bit taller and heavier. its still useable, but keeping the rest of the suspension geometry the same is ideal. its jsut harder to find since they only came from 90-91 4dr EX sedans, and also ive heard the original hubs & bearings(?) are discontinued, not sure what ppl are doing about that.
the 15/16 mc is recommended because of the extra size of the caliper piston. it makes the brake pedal stroke very long.
the prelude rotor and wagon caliper is a hack to fit an even bigger rotor and caliper. not really necessary, but it basically achieves the same thing as the ITR brakes.

Oh yea, I've already had the steal braided lines, slotted rotors and pad kit on all four corners for some time now but that was stock size. This kit worked great too and cost at the time (2000-01) like $450?
Good luck
