Default Exedy Clutch owners?

I am debating whether to get an Exedy Organic race clutch vs. an Act Heavy Duty. Is the Exedy Organic clutch much better than stock because I've heard that you could not really feel a difference?

Anyone using an Exedy Organic that can elaborate from experience?

exedy organic is noticably stiffer than stock. When i get in friends cars with stock clutch it feels like nothing.

I just replaced my (second) OE clutch with an Exedy (both OE's failed). It's somewhat more firm than the stock, but not a lot. It's not bothersome at all.

Thanks guys for the reply, does it have a noticeable stronger 'grab' than oe?

I'm looking for something that I can use for track and auto x as well. Would the Exedy organic be a good choice?

Well, I don't race my car, and haven't really tried anything yet that would demonstrate a difference in how it slips under high power. I've only had it a couple weeks, and it needs adjusting I think, so I haven't done anything evil to it. For regular sporting street driving it doesn't feel more grabby, though it does engage somewhat more smoothly I think.

Back when search still worked ( ) and I dug through opinions on clutches, I don't remember seeing anyone recommend any puck-type clutch for the street. I think they tend not to engage smoothly, and because they have less friction material, they don't last as long.

Opinions seemed to be divided, from none to 500 miles. I tried to be extra nice to it for 500 miles.

Does it matter if its highway or street driving?

Yeah that matters a lot. I personally get up to speed on the freeway, and then rarely take it out of 5th on my way to school. Thats using the clutch very few times. Ive been keeping track of city driving only, during the break in period. This **** is taking forever. I have like 350city miles on it though, and im starting to drive it a little more spiritedly. I still haven't shifted at anything past 5500 though, and drove most of the 350miles below 4000. As for pedal feel, it is almost exactly like a new stock clutch.
