RWD CRX under construction!!!
I am in the process of converting my CRX to rear wheel drive. I have a lot of it done and wondering if any one has any pointers or any information that would help. Pictures, instructions, ETC... Thanks.

Yes, I do have a pointer. Please don't do it.

I saw one last year at watkins glen raceway. I wish I would have got pictures. The car was clean and well done.
Basically, take your time. Don't cut corners. You have modified the structural integrity of the car, make sure to replace it.

I am using the motor and drivetrain from the old AWD civics. I have almost got it done I am just looking for a few extra things here and there to help complete it. The motor is fully built and is suppose to be pushing right around 250, but we will have to wait until it is done to put it on the dyno.
LOTS of reinforcing on the whole car. It is very complicated. I am having a local guy help me with a lot of the custom work and fabrication. So far everything is going as planned. I just wanted to see if anyone had opinions or pictures of one already completed. I cant wait to get it on the road.
The one I saw had alot of custom fab work done. I think it was featured in honda tuning last year
If your welder is good at making his geometries even and correct, that will help alot. Anyone that builds racecar chassis would be able to help you.

rear suspension will look similar because the axles have to go through the hubs, also changing the strut mounting position. Thats the only reason I posted that pic

some people just can't read.
interesting picture.
of course, if I were ever to convert a FWD car to RWD... it'd be a Civic sedan.

go there and scope **** out one guy started a all wheel rex and someone has a hatch too .. but there is a resource of info on the drivetrain and the parts plus if you peep classifieds you may find trans and so on
as for the car you will need to shorten the rear trailing arms of a wagon and get a custom drive shaft but i think it is more or less a sorta bolt on affair

Someone who has the know-how/skills/means to do this would never get on here and ask for "instructions" on how to do it. What a joke.
I'm usually not this harsh, but seriously...come on, man. Do us all a favor and don't chop up a perfectly good EF.
