Default catalytic converter location? 2001 civic lx

is it right up front under the hood attached to the exhaust manifold?

or is it under the car attached to the piping of the secondary pipe?

anyone know where i can get a aftermarket one as well? (direct fits)
im not looking for performance converters just mine crapped out after using bp amoco fuel :\ thanks.

EX - It's on the secondary Pipe (B-pipe)
Non-EX - It's built into the exhaust manifold

thanks for the quick reply, ive checked majestic honda, they are looking for over $700+ for a new one... kinda steep pricing,

ive done a LX exhaust manifold to EX swap on a 5th gen accord back then. anyone know if its possible for the 2001 civics? besides extending the o2 sensor wires? itll be cheaper and easier to replace if it ever craps out again.

This has been asked before, bud. But, yes, it is swappable. The parts needed are from the Exhaust manifold to the cat-back exhaust system. It'd be 2 pieces, header and b-pipe. You'd need to extend the secondary O2 wire.
