get the wheels redrilled for 5x114.3, or get the hubs redrilled for 5x100.. would be easier for the wheels to be redrilled... why do you want to do that anyways?

5x100 really limits your wheel options, since more wheels (at least from what I've seen are 5x114.3).

5x100 is a common Subaru fitment and since they use similar offsets, it might work.

I agree that 14mm difference is worth a redrill by a professional. There are a number of wheels that come in 5x114/100. If the style of wheel has a more open center, then it doesn't hurt the look of the wheel at all (think Gram Lights or OZ Superleggera). If the wheel has a lot of metal in the center and deep recessed lug holes (similar to the OEM wheels) you probably don't want 10 holes.

97PRelude, look here:
http://www.wheeladapter.com/wh...s.asp

and here:
http://www.adaptitusa.com/brow....HTML

note that 5x4.5 is the same thing as 5x114.3

Make sure to check the thickness. A 15mm adapter will make a +48 offset wheel into a +33 offset wheel. You may need to roll your fenders to accomodate the wheels.

IT would be cool if you could give us a link to the wheel you want that only comes in 5x100 - maybe there's a special order option, depending on who makes it

in my opinion there aren't any 5x100 wheels that are worth it... my vw bud wish he can run more wheels that are in 5x114.5 than he likes in 5x100 if that makes sense

Hi, Thanks a lot. I dont mind to redrill them, but the reality is I live in a small city in Canada. There is no place that I can redrill them(from I know so far). I've tried the only few performance shop in town, they all said they couldnt do anything about that. I actually have the wheels now, and I used to put them on my Jetta. Instead of selling them and buy another set of wheels, Im trying to find a way to put them on my prelude. Here is the pic of the wheels(the car is not mine, pic is just for reference).

And thanks to all the pipl replied my post.

need to repost a pic on a different link... but would be interested to see what they look like. Check with your local machineshops... there is bound to be one around town that can do it.

I think the adapters will run about $175 for a set (check the website addresses I posted for you) so thats not too bad of an investment if you like the wheels. Like I mentioned earlier, the issue is how far they're going to stick out when you put an adapter on there. If you can give us the model and size of the wheel, we could figure out what the offset is and work from there.

Nice to hear u again! I called wheeladapter.com today. He said he could make a set of 4 adapters of me, but it would cost me 300 bux include shipping. Do you think I should go for it or not? I havnt paid yet.

Here is more information about the 17" wheels. Offset: 45, bolt pattern: 5*100, Wheel size: 17" x 7".

He asked me on the phone how thick I want, and he said usually pipl go 25mm. Coz I dont know too much about how thick it should be, I said 25mm is fine.

That's what happend today.

Oh, I actually wanna sell them and buy another set. But like I metioned before, I live in a small town, the market for wheels is so limited. And now I am still trying to sell them.

The second website I gave you has adapters for ~$45 USD each unless I read it wrong. You want the 5x100 to 5x4.5 adapters.

Anyways, with a +45 offset wheel and a 25mm spacer, fitment is going to be tough. The tires will definitely rub the fender since the wheel would be at least 20mm out farther than it should be. You'd need to have a body shop roll your fenders which will run a few hundred dollars.

I guess the bottom line is that its not worth it unless these are really rare wheels that you can't part with.

Try listing your wheels for sale on the major VW forums like VW Vortex and then try Ebay.

Good luck

20 offset would definitely not fit. You would need to get the thinest adapter possible. I think +40 is the most you can go safely...
