How Do You Put S2000 Seats Into A Eg Hatch??????
I got some 2004 s2000 seats and im tryin to put them in my civic hatch but im having trouble and i cannot figure it out, if someone can help me that would be great, thanks.
First, you steal a pair of seats out of an S2000, preferably one without a hardtop. If you need help with this step, then just do a search to see how current owners have lost their seats in fraudulent insurance claims.
---I kid--- You steal seats and the owner makes a claim, I will see it.
Then, to get them to fit in your EG the ghetto-fab way, you bend the center rails' mounting points into just over a 90 degree bend. The fronts may need the mounting hole widened slightly with a drill bit.
The other way to do it (properly), is to take apart both sets of seats you have (the S2000 and the EG). Swap the seat pans and and the rails. Put the seats back together. Mount the S2000 seats into your EG, and now sell your EG seats to the S2000 owner you took "your" S2K seats out of.

I swapped my seat pans in about two hours, and did a fairly clean job. I did it while watching TV with a friend over who drank up all my beer and did not help.
It wasn't hard, it wasn't NOT worth it....it WAS tedious with all the hog ties.
Once you get S2K seats into your Civic or Integra, you'll see that it was worth DOUBLE the effort.

Buying an aftermarket seat would have taken longer. It's not like I can run over to my local Office Depot and pick up an aftermarket seat. Hell, even the local tuners that keep aftermarket seats in stock, don't typically carry seat mounts and rails in stock.
Even if they had seats, rails, and mounts in stock, let's see:
1. Drive to shop = 20 minutes
2. Ponder which seat(s) to buy = 2 hours to 2 days
3. Decide whether to spend $$$ on seats = 20 minutes
4. Buy seats and all hardware = 10 minutes
5. Figure out how to get seat boxes/seats home in your Civic = 1 hour
6. Wait for buddy to either pick up OEM seats, or your new aftermarket seats in his truck = 1 hour to 1 day
7. Drive home = 20 minutes
8. Buyer's remorse = 5 minutes
9. Trying to sell OEM seats = days.
*This is ONLY if the shop has seats in stock...otherwise, estimate a couple of days waiting for shipping, freight, boat, whatever...
I dunno...2hours of my time swapping pans seems to be well spent. Plus, I am using what I already have.
With swapping seat pans, it'd take someone anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. Selling the Civic seats with S2000 pans is easy, you already know who needs them quickly, otherwise he'd be driving his S2K while sitting on a milk crate.
