'89 Civic Si B16a Swap and Transmission compatibility Q's
I've got a '89 Civic Si with a D16A6 engine and a cable trany from an HF CRX... don't ask, its a weird combo that I bought off some guy who was experimenting...
Anyway, I want to do a B16a swap and I have access to the orginal Si cable trany, but I'm not sure if the B16a will mate up to the Si tranny... I've looked in all the FAQ's and multiple websites and I've seen a lot of info on engine/chassis compatibility, but I haven't seen much on transmission/axle compatibility... can I use the Si trany? What about my stock Si axles?
Any comments out there? BTW: I'm looking for a reputable engine supplier in the Tampa area...

sorry, D-series transmissions will not bolt up to B-series engines - you will need a B-series transmission, aftermarket mount kit, shift linkage and axles
