Default 98 prelude shifting problem

about 3 weeks ago i got a used manual 98 prelude base model. i have noticed that sometimes it is hard to put it in first gear, with the clutch fully depressed. almost to the point where i have to force it into gear (which i know definitely could not be good). if anyone knows the problem, or maybe has any advice on what i should check, it would be super. i have also noticed this problem with 2nd and reverse gears, but not as frequently as 1st gear. thanks again

i mean my reply is not gonna solve your problems with your tranny.. but when you have trouble getting in gears play around with it.. before putting it in first put it in second.. or if it still wont budge.. start off in second... then put it in first.
