Default Hi.. Need help w/ axle & rotor change.

I'm new and I just have a few quick questions on changing the cv axle.

1) Will I need to replace or buy new cotter pins?

2) Any tips or ideas to removing the lower ball joint? Should I just get a pitman puller? If so what make and any particular model?

3) I can't seem to find the DIY for this one. Someone told me there was one, but I dont' know where it is.

Well, i would replace the cotter pins, but if you can reuse the old ones than i guess it would be fine.

When i did my CV shafts i dont remember disconnecting the ball joint, i just took off the hub and everything, and the shaft basically slid right out

But I guess maybe your car may be differnt

1. You should always replace your cotter pins. Cost like 2 dollars and gives piece of mind.

2. I personally just banged the LCA a couple of times with a hammer and it popped right out. A puller facilitates things, but really isn't necessary.

No, lol. Not 2$ each.

You should be able to buy them at your local car parts store. If not check some place like Home Depot.
