just hooked my new stero eveything was good stero worked perfect and now my car wont start?

The engine wont crank but it funny all the lights work and somtimes when i turn the key to ignition 1 the stero turns on when i turn to to igniton2 the stero lights flickers? and now the stero is on when the igniton is on 1 or 2.

Also when i try to start the car the alarms chirps... i know the alarms a clifford and it does have a igniton kill but thats about all i know.

 

It's hard to say what the problem is, but the first thing I would check is batt. power, the alarm "chirping" when you try and start it may be an indication of a low batt., you say the alarm has ign. kill, but it sounds more like a starter kill.

If the problem is a low batt. the draw when you try and start the car latches the alarm brain because of low voltage and it may engage a starter kill, or there is just not enough power to turn over the motor.

If the batt. power is good, use a jumper wire to jump from the batt. terminal on the starter/motor/solenoid to the solenoid "trigger" terminal, [large gauge terminal to the smaller gauge terminal, make sure car is not in gear and E brake is on and have ign. in the run position, if car starts, you have a malfunctioning alarm, starter cut relay, starter relay, clutch interlock switch, [manual transmission] or ign. switch. 94

 

Ok got it fixed i just unplugged the alarm and plugged it back in and the car starts now....?

 

The alarm was latched up, you rebooted it by unplugging and plugging it back in. 94
