A couple of Questions about a 94 Accord! HELP! haha
Hey, i just have a few questions about my car, maybe someone might have a idea of what it is for me?!
first off its a 1994 accord ex canadian lx american if that makes sence?! havent been on here for a while cause the car has been working A1!
i would just like to get some ideas of what it might be and how much its going to cost me minus labour!
anyways...
problem #1 - loud humming noise when driving! gets louder with speed... hard to tell which side its on, when your driving it sounds like its on the passengers side, and when your in the passengers seat it sounds like its from the drivers side?! my guess would be a wheel berring?! anyways if you think thats what it is, how much does one of those cost roughly?!
problem #2 - When i turn the car left or right doesn't matter it makes a loud like metal on metal noise\squeeking noise\crunching noise really hard to explain but its really annoying! also when you take your foot off the brake and go this noise comes into effect?! not really sure what this is?
problem #3 - My left tail light\brake light keeps blowing, i replaced this bulb about 3 times so far, any ideas on which is causing this? i do have 2 12" subs that rattles the crap out of the car maybe that could be it?! not too sure...
problem #4 - not really sure if this is a problem or not, but the other day i took my cone air filter of my intake and i noticed there was some oil inside of the intake pipe, laying at the bottem! hopefully not a problem haha
just another question while i'm here, someone had told me that air intakes on these cars tend to pop spark plugs?! can spark plugs make a poping noise when they blow? cause one time when i was driving i kind of kicked it down and the car made a pop like something blew, and every since then i find its been lacking a little power!
anyways hopefully someone can help me out, again havent been on here in a very long time cause the car has been working great! all these problems is going to seem like i have a lemon, but shes been a good little car!

another question, when you take off from a dead stop and kind of give it some gas, i noticed like its delayed when taking off?! any ideas on that also?

ANSWER: so It's a humming noise? not thunking or whining??? whining is the alternator going out, humming could be your power steering going out.....thuking is usually associated with a wheel bearing or an axle.

ANSWER: Could be your rotors...take a visual check to see if there's any heat cracks on them, whens the last time you did a brake job? The more I think about it it it most likely is your rotors

ANSWER: Sounds like some wires are touching somewhere, ceck the connections, wires and plugs to make sure there all Kosher..check your fuses???

ANSWER: yes oil in the intake is a bad thing. symptoms of crankcase pressue being to high!

ANSWER: If your spark plug poopeed you'd have alot more problems than losing a "little power"

Well going to answer my own questions, got the car fixed today! well some of the problems fixed!

answer - Tire wearing a little bit , needed to get the car aligned!

answer - had the bulb in the wrong way! haha my fault! didn't think there was a right or wrong way but i guess there is?!
