FS/FT in central Missouri: 91 CRX DX, B16, Quaife, Turbo, more.
1991 CRX DX, tealish blue outside, black interior.
Car is pretty clean for a 91. Has one tiny rust spot on the driver side rear wheel well and the roof has the clear lifting/oxidizing. Car would need a repaint to be absolutely perfect outside. Probably one of the nicest condition bodies around.
Interior is very nice. Black. I took the factory DX seats out and installed a set of near showroom 91 CRX Si seats in it. Still has the factory cargo cover.
Engine:
B16 block
Head ported by DH Racing in California
Custom DH Racing cams
Ported DH ITR intake mani (not installed right now)
Custom DH exhaust manifold (has stock mainifold on it right now for engine break in)
JE pistons
Eagle H beam rods
All balanced
New upgraded oil pump
New water pump, timing belt, tensioner, etc.
I think it's an Unorthodox crank pulley (aluminum with holes drilled in it...)
Stock timing cover with front edge cut to access timing gears
Aftermarket adjustable timing gears
Billet cam seal
DH TB (ported or enlarged stocker, maybe???)
Exhaust:
2.5" stainless, fabricated downpipe. Flange for 35/38 mm Tial style wastegate, currently set up to dump to atmosphere. Bellmouths out to 3" at the end and has a 3 bolt flange to bolt to the downpipe back exhaust.
Currently has a stock manifold on it that attaches to exhaust with same flange.
3" mandrel bent exhaust. All mandrel bends, Dynomax SuperTurbo muffler, 3" stainless tailpipe section exiting in stock location.
Trans:
Built B16 trans
Quaife LSD
Clutchmasters clutch that will hold the turbo, once it's on. Very driveable on the street.
Place shift linkage with poly bushings
Stock shifter, shortened and re-threaded at top side.
Turbo components:
DH racing manifold (log style, heavy duty steam pipe type material)
T3/T4 turbo
Custom built Spearco intercooler. Actually attaches directly to the turbo outlet to minimize intercooler piping.
Mandrel bent piping from exit of IC to throttle body.
Blitz BOV
Tial 35 mm wastegate
RC 550 injectors (was told by guy that would be tuning that they should be larger....)
Currently, I have a Hondata Stage 3 for it with a PR3 ECU that needs Hondata installed in it.
Suspension:
All Energy Suspension bushings throughout
KYB AGX adjustables all around
Decent coilover kit. Speed something was the brand if I remember right...
Neuspeed front sway bar
Gauges:
All autometer sport comp
Tach (currently not installed; was going to use stock tach and shift light)
brand new mechanical oil pressure
electric water temp
boost gauge
Wheels:
Very nice CRX Si wheels with brand new Goodyear Eagle HP's
Has Kenwood CD player and some sort of aftermarket speakers all around in it.
Battery relocated to back in a Moroso aluminum battery box.
Interior is VERY nice. Does NOT have the typical tear that all CRX's have on the door panel!! Carpet in great shape, near showroom 91 CRX Si seats, and has the factory cargo cover still there. Probably about the nicest interior you will see in one of these cars that's still stock. AC controls aren't even cracked!
Car needs aligned as it has not really been driven since it was assembled. There is about 41 miles on the engine so it really needs to be broken in more, in my opinion, before the turbo parts are installed. I was going to upgrade to a Hondata S200B, P28 (obd1) ecu, and get an obd0 to obd1 adapter when I put the turbo on. Upgrade and to have the ecu modified is about $250 through forward thrust.
Open to offers of a car of equal value, trade plus cash (on your part), or asking 7000 outright for it. $14,200 in the engine, trans, exhaust, and suspension in this car!!! Don't need to sell it, don't really want to, but if someone has a cool car to trade (probably another Honda or ???) or has the cash, it can go. I have had it a few months and I never drive the car as evidenced by the 41 miles I've put on it since I got it.
Also has Greddy ProFec boost controller mounted where the ash tray used to be, has an AEM fuel rail, adjustable regulator, Venom fuel pump, and I'm sure I am forgetting a ton.
