pg7 ecu in 91 crx dx
alright so i just got a pg7 ecu and i put it in my 91 crx dx and it only reves to about 3 and a quarter, does the ecu need chipped or what can i do? my motor is a d16a6 but has the 2 point timed fuel injection. i dont know anything about the motor other than it has 2 point timed fuel injection and the block seas d16a6
As long as you are using DPFI you must use the DPFI computer. If you use another computer, youre injectors will not be firing right, and the distributor will be sending "incorrect" signals leaving your ECU in limp mode.
so nothing i can do to use this ecu? cant be chipped or anything? how hard is it to swap the fuel injectors? i have an 88 parts car the have the 4 point fule injectors

There's nothing to do with it.</TD></TR></TABLE> Actually, the DPFI computer lacks the injector circuitry for 4 injectors so you can't chip it.
Actually, I chipped my pm5 before I did my mpfi swap.
I basically ended up using a stock chip, because I couldn't figure out the fuel maps since they're messed up due to the DPFI, but it was done.
