pg7 ecu in 91 crx dx

Default pg7 ecu in 91 crx dx

alright so i just got a pg7 ecu and i put it in my 91 crx dx and it only reves to about 3 and a quarter, does the ecu need chipped or what can i do? my motor is a d16a6 but has the 2 point timed fuel injection. i dont know anything about the motor other than it has 2 point timed fuel injection and the block seas d16a6

As long as you are using DPFI you must use the DPFI computer. If you use another computer, youre injectors will not be firing right, and the distributor will be sending "incorrect" signals leaving your ECU in limp mode.

so nothing i can do to use this ecu? cant be chipped or anything? how hard is it to swap the fuel injectors? i have an 88 parts car the have the 4 point fule injectors

The MPFI swap isn't that hard.

You can chip the pm5, but why? There's nothing to do with it.

Actually, I chipped my pm5 before I did my mpfi swap.

I basically ended up using a stock chip, because I couldn't figure out the fuel maps since they're messed up due to the DPFI, but it was done.

Yeah, it cannot support MPFI, I just chipped it to try and mess with the DPFI timing a bit, which was basically worthless in the end.
