Default just got an 05 s2k.

whatsup.

so i just picked up a 2005 s2k. silverstone metallic, black and red interior. 16k miles, mint condition, sans little scrapes when the previous owner touched a curb stop.

i love it. absolutely perfect in every way. handles great, sounds great, goes great. overall impression... i couldn't be happier. i love the looks it gets. its 100% stock, and i had 3 people compliment me today.

i had a 94 sol, all done up, you can see it in my sig. just so you know im not completely clueless, i built that from the ground up.

as for the s2k, i dont know much about them. im hoping someone could dedicated 10 minutes and help me out

im selling the sol, and planning on 3 things right off the bat.

• i want the ARC box. im open to other ideas.. but im not sure what there is... perhaps that double whale ***** looking thing.

• i want an exhaust. im sure most give around the same HP gains. i want something dual tipped, and quiet. i had an RS*R on my sol, and i loved it. sounded great.

• i want a lip. something carbon fiber probably. i think it looks great with the silver color. only one i could find was the seibon. i'd be interested to know if anyone makes a silver cf lip. i need something that will cover up the little 'lip' under the grill area in the center. any ideas?

thanks in advance.

maybe not 10 minutes but.....

congrats on the car. red/black interior makes me hate you in envy. silverstone is beautiful.

first thing you ahve to do it take all your driving ways and kick them in the nuts. your in a RWD and its way different to handel. you got lucky and got an AP2 which has more forgiving suspension.

ARC box is nice but it needs a cooling plate or vented hood. might as well get an AEM V2. or the wale *****....your call.

not to many exhaust actually show HP gains on the S2000. you have 2.25 inch tubes stock. you will need the 70mm exhaust with test pipe. the factory lip extensions look amazing, thats my suggestion.

-i've owned a rwd car before.

-whats a cooling plate?
-aem looks cheap in my opinion. i want to stray from the painted tube stuff.
-im not really worried about the hp gaint from the exhaust... to be honest, i want the nice sound

-cooling plate = http://www.s2ki.com/forums/ind...42736

-for the intake i would just go with a K&N drop in filter. cheap and effective.

-if you just want the nice sound why dont you just get some new mufflers installed? such as magnaflow or something similar

a k&n in that box means you cant hear the intake sound as well.
i like that sound.

i rather get a nice muffler. something perhaps... titanium and dual tipped.

The ARC has been regarded over and over again on s2ki.com as simply JDM bling, no performance.

As for an exhaust, do some research (s2ki.com/forums) and you will find there are several exhausts that would work for what you are looking for (Spugen dual oval, Comptech are some examples).

Seibon is the only one I have found to make the carbon fiber lips. I really have not looked into it much because I wanted to go OEM. Not really into carbon fiber much.

you can check the FS section of s2ki or you can post a wtb thread in the marked sections. the search on that board doesnt work so youll have to find it yourself.

If you want a nice sound from an intake I strongly suggest the AEM V2, it definately has a nice growl to it. As for exhaust I have the T1R 70, but if you want dual the T1R Sparrow is supposed to be a very good exhaust. Also, I have heard good things about the HKS Hi-Power Dual. Also, I have a Seibon C/F front OEM style lip. The weave and quality is nice, and fitment is pretty good. Not perfect, but not bad.

Hope this helps, Congrats on your purchase!

Well if the Amuse is too expensive, then the Gruppe-M will be too expensive as well sitting at well over the $1000 mark.

If you want good sound from your exhaust and don't care about the power, then the best for you would be the HKS Hi-Power. Loads of rave reviews about the sound.

All of the "nice" looking intakes are pretty pricey, such as the Gruppe-M, J's Racing, and the Mugen. But you do get what you pay for, so I would just say to search around S2ki and find what works for you

I would go with Amuse or J's exhaust. Single tip, straight through exhaust for less restriction.
