Default jdm dc2 type r front end questions

hi noob here, just wondering if anyone can school me on the difference between the jdm type r front end. all i know is that the 96-97 type r's have 4x114.3 for the lug patten. but i was wondering what did honda change between the 96 and the 98 and what year did the hids start? thanks!

they changed something to the motor hahaha and not much in fact.

98+ the brakes were a little bigger also.

For the front end:

96spec = Non-HID headlights

98spec = HID headlights


Other than brakes, theirs a bunch more minor differences between the 96spec and 98 spec ITR.

"Best Motoring International: Type-R Legends" covers just about everything you'd want to know about the 96/98spec ITR
