Hi,

I bought a new 2006 base-model RSX about 3 weeks ago. I've put about 680 miles on it so far. As Acura recommends, I've taken it pretty easy on it through break in, and I'm still not driving it really hard (highest RPM I've gone is about 5-5.5K RPMs, and that's only been 2 or 3 times).

I've noticed that from about 3800 RPMs to about 4500 there's a metallic buzzing sound. It happens whether I'm in or out of gear. Is this normal?

i had the same thing too when i first broke in my car. the car sounded awfully loud and i was really concerned but as soon as i really broke it in, it stopped. 680 is more than enough miles to break in. dont be shy and drive it hard!

Thanks for the replies! I guess I'll wait to see what happens for a few hundred more miles and give the dealer a call if it doesn't go away. Glad to hear it's probably nothing serious though.
