Hah, why do you say that?

Under powered and looks that only a mother could love.
There's potential, and it's a damned nice car, but a lot of people don't like it.
I for one am looking to purchase one though.

i think the 04s look more race, and the 06s look more lux... IMO

if u ask me i dont like the 05, 06 look. it kinda reminds me of an accord. the way they had it before with the tear drop look headlights and tail lights looked better than they do now. but then again thats my opinion.

If you like the 02-04 look you can just swap the headlights and the front bumper out. Some features of the 02-04 are not on the 05-06. but alot of the parts bolt up. for example the fenders can be swapped out, the trunks can be swapped out. the doors can be swapped out, the headlights and front bumper can be swapped out. the other noticable changes are the way exhaust parts bolt up, the rear take some modification to do a 02-04 rear swap. if you notice the way the stock strut bar on a 02-04 and a 05-06 looks way different thus making buying strut bars a specific model. the suspension you will notice on the 02-04 the springs twist the same way but the 05-06 twist one clockwise and the other counterclockwise., this also mean you have to be really specific if you are using lowering springs.

Here is the difference betwen the the 02-04 and 05-06
Honda made a HUGE amount of changes to the 05+ RSX-S, its just not everything is visible. The 05-06 RSX-S shares a lot of parts with the JDM DC5 Type R
Power is increased to 210hp at 7800 rpms (SAE revision 201hp for 06 model)
Torque is increased to 143lb-ft at 7000 rpms
Final drive lowered by 8.6 percent to 4.77 for quicker acceleration (same FD as JDM DC5 Type R)
Single cone carbon synchronizers for 5th and 6th for more direct shift feel less mechanical loss in transmission
High performance camshafts added (Same PRC cams as JDM DC5 Type R)
Valve lift on intake side increased by 5 degrees and exhaust side by 10 degrees
Diameter of intake duct enlarged 11 percent from 63mm to 70mm. (PRC part number, Same as DC5 Type R)
Higher flow exhaust system, w/ larger tail pipe increased from 60.5mm to 70mm. (Same B-pipe as DC5 Type R)
Higher flow catalytic converter by reducing density of ceramic substrate, flow increased from 95L p/sec to 98L p/sec
Upgraded Clutch Pressure Plate (PRC part number, which is DC5 Type R)
Upgraded Main Pulley (PRC part number, which is DC5 Type R)
Additional engine mount damper added to reduce rocking and isolate powertrain NVH from passenger compartment.
Standard 17" alloys with 215/45/R17 all season high performance tires.
Stiffer rear springs and more compression and rebound damping front and rear.
Larger more rigid strut tower bar, increases body rigidity.
Horizontal and vertical rigidity strut tower bar reinforced by 13 percent and 26 percent
Caster trail increased by 65 percent from 9.9 mm to 28.6 mm ( more predictable steering at speed)
Camber angle increased 50 percent for maximized tire contact during cornering.
Center of gravity lowered by 7 mm
Dampers receive new damper seals to improve ride and drastically reduce static friction
Front compliance bushings adjusted, 4mm longer stroke and 20 percent lower spring rate
Front damper bushings replaced by bearings to decrease friction increasing response and steering feel.
New inversely wound springs for better steering precision while cornering
Front stabilizer bar increased from 23 mm to 26.5 mm and wall thickness increased from 2.8 mm to 3.0 mm.
Rear stabilizer bar increased to 21 mm
New relief valve in steering rack achieves linear injection volume.
Powersteering pump flow increased 7 percent, creating increased hydraulic pressure.
Kickback reduction valve added to reduce steering kickback when driving over bumps or objects.
Quicker steering ratio, 14.9 vs. 15.1:1 from 04
Steering column reinforced, increased stiffness by 45 percent for even more solid steering feel.
Brake pedal stroke reduced by 5 percent for shorter stroke and more linear brake feel.
New flange added to brake pedal to increase pedal rigidity by 50 percent.
Larger diameter master cylinder to increase brake fluid displacement and enhance brake feel.
Brake performance improves 5.4 percent in dry and 9.7 percent improvement in wet.
New fuel tank shape optimized to reduce fuel evaporation, lowers evaporative emmission by 75 percent
New LEV2 rating
New more aggressive front bumper, triple beam headlight, reworked grill.
New redesign rear bumper, new thicker exhaust finisher and taillight assembly, continues the impression of power and speed.
New deck lid spoiler intergraded
New aggressive sculpted side sills
Coefficient of drag and coefficient of lift were improved with the restyle, making the RSX the most aerodynamic coupe in its class.
Ratio of lift between the front and rear were improved, making the RSX more stable at high speed.
Rigidity of body increased front and rear in key areas, including mounting points.
Front rigidity was improved 15 percent with a thicker fitting base.
Rear cross member improved by 21 percent.
Additional insulation material in roof and doors reduce road noise.
NVH reduced with lightweight, noise absorbing insulation to the roof and doors.
Wind noise reduced by additional weather stripping between gaps on the side mirrors.
Front seats optimized with thicker cushions and deeper side bolsters with upgraded leather. Seats get new double knit material.
Thickness of urethane padding was increased for firmness and support during acceleration and 3 decible reduction in vibration.
New Titanium headrest inserts.
Chrome and titanium-look accents added to key spots in cockpit.
New sporty material applied to roof lining, A-pillar garnish, quarter panel garnish and door lining.
Enhanced rubberized geometric-grain material added in 05 to the instrument panel for a more sporty yet refined look.
New black on white background gauges, trimmed with titanium accent.

^^^ wow! that's fancy! thanks for the info.
06>04 in the looks dept imo.
06 w/modest drop looks waaaaaaaaay better than any others. i'd be happy with the 06 wheels. 04's i would def change cause they're the same as the base models and they're kinda boring.
no hating on the EP3!!! jerks! just kidding. i lub my ep.
