I was helping my friend install tein basics in his 94 accord and we got into a problem. Got the coils in, after 40 min, got the car on the ground and the shock poked up through the top mount. How do we keep it down? We have two washers that we didn't use. Do I need to replace everything from the old struts onto the baiscs?

 

you didnt swap the stock top hats from the old dampers to the new did you? if you dont know what the top hats are its the dish/triangle looking thing that goes on top of your spring/damper and also has 3 bolts on it that will go through the 3 holes on your strut tower.

 

naw we did that. Everything is in except the two washers that go on top of the dust cover. I've done this install on other cars, mainly the rsx, and have not ever experienced this problem.
