i'm looking for an electrical wiring diagram for a 5th gen GAUGE CLUSTER. i have searched and found diagrams for the rest of the cars electrical stuff (sensors, ecu pinouts, etc...) but nothing has gone into detail about the gauge cluster wiring.

the reason i need this is for a project i have going on , and i need to know what wire is the input signal for the tach in the gauge cluster. i found one source that said the wire was solid blue, but when i took the cluster out all i found were 2 blue wires with white stripes, and one white wire with a blue stripe.

if anyone knows of a diagram for the cluster, or knows what wire is the tach input for the stock gauge cluster, i would appreciate any input. thanks!

 

the only thing i can think of is refer to the ecu pin outs again...

and see what color that wire is and then look for the wire (of the same color as the one coming out of your ecu) behind the gauge cluster. I'd be surprised if the wire changed colors on the way from the ecu to your gauge cluster. but i could be wrong. I'm not very familiar with the 5th gen wiring either. btw... on those pinouts it's labeled as RPM signal. are you installin an HUD or sumthin?

 

i have those same diagrams for my vafc (yes i know those are civic wiring diagrams, and i do have prelude pinouts). i wanted a wire a little closer to the gauge cluster but i guess it wouldn't hurt to extend some wires. thanks.
