Header question for b16a, 2 o2 on stock, 1 o2 on aftermarket...
I have a b16a that I've had in my hatchback for a year, and throwing it in my crx today and ditching the hatchback. The stock exhaust manifold has 2 o2 sensors that both have 1 wire comming from them.
I got some aftermarket header for free when I bought my LS that I'm building. The LS is being built, so the header is of no use and I want to throw it on my b16a.
My friend says theres a way to 'trick' the car into thinking there is 2 o2 sensors still even though the header only has a 02 bung for one. Is this true, and does anyone know how to do it by chance?
Also is it safe to do this, or will it mess up readings too much and make the car run shitty?
I'm not sure what kind of header it even is, its probally possible it could not even be worth the hassle? Its a 4-1 header, and the engine is jdm b16a obd1, car is a 90 crx si. Thanks!
And I tried searching up "header o2" and I didnt find what I was looking for

What you can do, is just go get another O2 bung welded on and call it a day. When you put it on your LS, just cap off the spare hole.
yea thats another thing I was thinking of doing :/
I just dont feel like taking it to work and doing it heheh
Maybe I will hold off and just buy one later, I'm not sure if this one will give any gain :X
Or maybe I'll do it at work, I'll have to check the thread size and pitch for the o2 sensor.

i think, i dont understand what are you asking,
If you have 2 o2 sensor then you ECu is OBD0,
Coz OBD1 have a O2 sensor from with 4 wires are commin through,
in a oBD0 ECU both the o2 sensors plays a vital role
