Dye for the interior vinyl
Okay, new question. This is not discussed in the search stuff (2 posts in 2001 and no help)
Has anyone ever used the vinyl dye to restore their interior vinyl? I have researched it on Google, and I can find it and the instructions, but I wanted to get your opinion on the usefulness of it.
Does it really 'dye' the vinyl so that it is restored and looks new? Does it stay on well? Is it good only for things that are not 'touched' much, like the dash; or is it also okay for, say, an interior door panel, that has a lot of contact? Anyone out there have info on this process that would just give me some ideasfrom users of this stuff?
Thank you!
Lori

Goto your local automotive paint supplier, we use Dupont. You can buy the dye there. you spray in on with a HVLP gun. as long as you do the prep right it works good
I used SEM Vinyl Paint. Used degreaser first to clean all the panels and sprayed it with SEM. It's the actual paint we use when replacing vehicle panels that don't match the orig. interior (i'm an installer btw).
