Need car seat advice
My buddy wife is having a baby any day now. He has a 03 rsx type s and his wife said if he can find a way to safely put a car seat in the back he could keep it. HELP....Anyone with kids??
I don't have my oxners manual so I'm not sure but check there. If no dice I'm almost posative if you or he calls Acura they will be able to help. It would be trickey thought cause the seats do fold down and are held there by a pin.
It should be fine -- there's a LATCH system in my EP, and I can't imagine that an RSX would be without it.
Ah, it's there. Just go to acura.com and navigate their Flash-heavy site to the safety portion. You'll find it.

Might as well quote the site...
Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) System
Both outboard rear seats feature the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) child-seat mounting system. Parents can secure LATCH-compatible child seats to the rear parcel shelf with a tether anchor from the top, and at the bottom, to anchor points between the seat back and the seat bottom cushion. Non-LATCH child seats can also be secured to the rear seats with seat belts.

I have had our kids and all manor of child seats in my ep, it's not a big deal. The latch system in Honda's is much more user friendly than our old VW or our Jeep which didnt have any system.
The only downside is if you are still using the rear facing seats with younger kids then you have to really move the front seat up to get the car seat to fit. Guess it all depends on much the kid would be in the dc5. If it was only once is a while then no big deal, if its everyday with someone in the passenger front seat=PITA.
