Replacing Head, Got any Advice for me?

I have a 90 Civic si Hatch with the b16 obd 0

I'm replacing my 1st gen b16 head

So i'm going to be taking out my motor.

Any advice you guys can give me?

As of now i'm going to be replacing... Water Pump, Timing Belt and Headgasket. i heard using 1 layer headgasket is good but idk.

i have p30 block replacing head with another b16 head... I'm going to get a headgasket from the dealer but i heard things like 1 layer gasket being good, any more info on this please, thanks!
