"Boat Look" ride height?
I just purchased Eibach Pro Kit springs for my 2001 Accord Coupe. Ive read that sometimes you can get the "Boat Look"- higher in the front, lower in the back-. I was just wondering why this occurs, and how to prevent it.
thank you
thank you
the spring drop in the front is less than the drop in the back. put in other words, the rear springs are lower than the front springs. you cannot do anything to prevent this other than purchasing a different set of springs. i HEARD about this, but have NEVER seen it on anybody's car.

That's not true. The "boat look" comes from people looking at fender gap and not the body lines. Accord rear fenders are cut slightly lower than the front fenders. After lowering the car, the body lines (look at the sideskirts) will either be parallel to the ground or the front will be slightly lower. With the body lines parallel to the ground, the rear fender gap will be slightly less than the front fender gap.

the "boat look" happens because of the cut of the fenders, if you want the car to look parallel, as in the front fender is aligned with the rear fender, you'll need to get different front springs. I'm not sure about the eibach pro-kit springs because I've never used or purchased them before but I've had different springs in the past and they have all came out with the "boat look." The only way I solved the problem was to get coilovers. This is just my two cents...
