I just bought the civic mentioned in title....
I was wondering what is the largest wheel size I can put on it and if I have to upgrade the suspension to put wheels larger than 17"???

Short answer: I don't know. Your best bet would be to ask in the forum for your year Civic.
Longer answer: Even though I don't know for sure, your car came from the factory with pretty big wheels and tires: 16" wheels with 205/55-16 tires. You can almost always upgrade just about any car to "plus one" fitments (in your case, 17" wheels) and even "plus two" fitments (18") without any worries or suspension changes, assuming that you get wheels with the proper offset and such, and the proper size tires (which would be 225/45-17 for 17", 225/40-18 for 18").
