temperature knob

is tehre a specific way besides the white part lining up the **** suppose to sit into the shaft? the shaft has some splines and stuff but is there a certain way of putting it in? also where can i pick up the **** for the temperature control...my **** is broken and everytime i turn it it just slides on the shaft....SL honda wants bout $20 for it..any cheaper?

Well if it is broken and just slides when you turn it, why would you even want to know where the white part lines up at? Its not like it's going to do you any good if it doesn't work. Know what I mean?

yea i kno...what i'm asking is ....is there anything in the back where the splines go on in a specific way..or does it just slide in just like that?
ii m not sure is it the **** or the shaft...
