hey i just tried putting in a new fuel pump cause my car(1990 integra rs) wouldnt start, and we thought the it was the fuel pump not turning on cause you couldnt hear it, but when we took it out we hooked it up to the battery and it worked, and now i dont know what the problem is, if anybody can help me it would help a lot, the car will turn over and make noise like it wants to start but it wont start

 

First start with the basics. Find out whether its a fuel or elec problem.

 

i think its getting spark but my friend went to the back, and you cant hear the fuel pump turn on, or anything, but we dropped the tank and hooked it up to the battery and it works

 

Well if your 100% positive the fuel pump does not run then it has to be the wiring that goes to the tank otherwise if it works directly on the battery then somethings not functioning inbetween the pump and power.
