Default TPS mounting screws

I'm sure I saw it here before, but now I can't find it.

I'm trying to figure out the size of the screws that hold the TPS to the TB so I can replace the factory crap with an allenhead, or at least something other than smooth.

Thanks!

easy way to do it without a lot of fuss is to cut a slit into the screw heads with a hacksaw blade or a cutoff wheel so you can use a flathead screwdriver to turn them.

are you referring to thread size?

I want to say it's either an M6 or M8, probably M6. I know I saw it somewhere, let me see if I can find it again.

Getting the screws out is not a problem.

I want to replace them when putting it back together.

Matching them up with something is not a big deal, but I would rather have what I need before I take everything apart.

So if someone knows the actual size and thread pitch, I'd be greatful.

I still can't find the size, I know I saw it somewhere though. In the meantime, you could try PMing a member by the name of Maxbore.com or contact him in his thread which is linked below.

Big bore throttle bodies $100

Since he does lots of work on Honda throttle bodies, he should be able to tell you the exact thread diameter and pitch for the bolt you'll need.

I thought M8 sounded too big.

Ok my TPS is done!

For the record, both of these sizes will replace the existing screws:

M5 x 0.80 x 12mm

10-32 x 1/2"
