Default What kind of tubing to use for manifolds and down pipes?

I am confused on what would be the best material for make the fallowing:

Log style turbo manifold.

Top mount turbo manifold.

The normal bottom mount style.

I am going to be Tig welding all of them if possible.

What do you all use for down pipes while we are at it?

I am more looking for the grade and type of metal... not necessarily the size... Inconel would be sweet but its WAY to expensive, but bad *** none the less.

Thanks guys.
Tim

16 or 18 gauge for downpipe

sch10 or 16 gauge for manifolds. If you use the 16 gauge, make sure you brace the manifold.

As far as metal goes, I use 304 for all my manifolds and downpipes unless the customer wants me to use mild stay to save a little money.
