how to make a polished lip on the honda steelies ?

Default how to make a polished lip on the honda steelies ?

anybody know how to do this without your arm falling off from the polishing?

First off, don't polish steelies, they will rust like a ****. Paint them crome or something.

Secondly, if you insist, jack up the car, put the wheel on the drive tire, have a friend hit the gas, and hold the sandpaper up to the wheel!

you can polish steel but it doesnt keep a good finish if it is good steel it can actually be polished to a mirror finish i know i make plastic molds
but the problem in a real world driving senario it would never last even when clear coated it would rust and soo on
my best guess is get chrome or bright aluminum color spray paint and do that ...

on seocond thought why buy that crap when you can get nice chrome beauty rings

if you use a dremel at the same time you will really do some polishing ... i tried this once before on a HX wheel it didnt go well

The only thing I don't like about buying those beauty rings is that they don't curve in as nice as the lip of the steelie, they are more rounded instead... hard to explain, but I think painting the lip chrome would look better.

Here are some chrome painted lips on 15" steelies my brother had on his black DA back in the day:

really nice job on the rims maybe i need to re do my steelies i got 1 dollar can from family dollar to paint mine and its a terrible job will re do them and post when i get them done but right now im doing the bay but with dupli color paint haha

umm y not jus buy some chrome lips, beauty lips i think they r also called, u can get them at canadian tire, oh wait u mite b in the us, hrmm well then i really dunt no what to tell ya haha but try yer local car shop i guess, walmart maybe?
