Default build a riding lawn mower?

ok ok so maybe this isnt the most honda related thing but i'm interested in finding out if anyone has ever heard of this?

what the hell would be required for building one? only thing i can think of is building a primative chasis and drive it with one lawn mower engine and have another for cutting... is that basically how it works? i'm tired of pushing and think this would be a cool project, regardless of the laughs i'd get :-P

possibly similar to a shifter kart?

your gona end up making tracks in the grass and pulling it up instead of cutting it hahaha.

hmmm i say get another lawn mower engine to propel you and use the first lawn mower engine to cut the grass. then use a box car go cart design with a blades on the bottom and your set.

Let me first say - yes, I live in hick country - Lancaster County, PA

With that out of the way, a local volunteer fire company has lawn mower tractor pulls on a fairly regular basis. I'm talking about the riding mowers just like you're talking about. Picture a single cylinder Cub Cadet or John Deer that started life as a 10 or 12 horsepower motor. Now they're 30 to 50! Or some of the 2 or 4 cylinders (maybe 500 cc) that are now over 100 hp!

Is that what you had in mind???

i made a pull behind mower deck, actually just today.

we took a 42" deck we got on ebay, added harbor freight wheels (the 6" caster rubber ones). put a motor ontop of it with a puller to run the blade belt. made a hitch system and now i can pull it behind anything (gokart, riding lawn mower, ATV etc). my father and i got bored so thats what we did. maybe i can take some pics this weekend, since pics are worth a thousand words.

first you need to build a chasis to fit your size, if your 5'7 you have to make it wide. use metal frames. steel frames. Get a steering wheel with the knuckle arm and everything along that makes the wheel steer off a power wheel. get a 1 hp lawnmower engine from honda. you have to buy the chain drive and the chain belt. to make the gas pedal link a long steel cable to the throttle. buy the wheels too. use the power wheel seat too.

I don't think the car looks any worse, since it's still one of the ugliest Mustang body styles in history.
