itr rotor/caliper upgrade?
i originally wanted to do the whole 5 lug conversion on my LS but decided that is a lot of money and work to be done. but i heard of alterative options to get the same performance. i heard there was a website/company that makes type-r rotors in the 4x100 bolt pattern with the 11.1" size...does anyone know what im talking about? and second will the type-r calipers fit onto my ls brake/suspension setup? what is needed in the brake/caliper assembly to compelte this swap?
I'm not sure about the rotor question, but you should look into the legend calipers instead, they're bigger than ITR and NSX calipers (by like 2mm) and will fit with a tiny bit of shaving to the mounting bracket. They also work with the same 11.1" rotor.
I have done 2 integras. Mine and a friends upgrading our front brakes to ITR calipers. They are great. I had to machine an area of the caliper down a hair to make it fit as well as redrill some v6 accord( if i recall correctly) rotors to a 4x100 lug pattern. both of us have had O issues with them.
here is a good how too.https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=734560
heres the company that sells the packages http://www.fastbrakes.com their kits sell for 530 dollars. I know I got my stuff for just about 250. 2 ITR calipers. 2 rotors and some cobalt friction pads along with some motul fluid.
although I could save you a lot of money by doing the machining for you. if your intrested pm me.
