my comment: looks basically the same as the yellow concept, except the front bumper. i would have preferred the concept front bumper.

btw, let me remind everyone that the Civic UK model is FIT based , not like ours and japans Civic chassis.
which explains the rear torsion beam suspension and magic seats.
ill add my comment here, a while ago i asked whether or not the RSX could have filled the position as the CRX, despite it really being an integra, but in size and performance. an overwhelmingly amount of ppl said the FIT was more of a crx, probably due to its cheap price and less weight. that being said....
seeing that the UK civic is basd on the Fit already, and looking at the styling, this 2 (3) door version of the UK civic could definately fill as the "new" CRX.
btw, that "test" shot is not quite the same type r "concept" revealed earlier this year. it still has the rear doors clearly masked off. the concept version has a cleaner roofline and rear quarter windows.

EDIT: sorry forgot to make clear that i HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt this will happen. but its interesting.

So will it be easy to swap most the parts over to a fit? In theory, will we be able to swap a K20 in using factory mounts??? Sounds like fun times ahead to me.

hard to say, i wouldnt make any further assumptions about the engine. i would expect the suspension parts to be similar tho.

yea i was one of those people who said the fit seemed like the closest thing honda currently has to an EF chassis.
one thing you can always count on honda of america to do, is not do anything cool.
if it does come here it will be nerfed and suck. i still say its a good looking car. it owns the ep's.

one last thing i forgot to add, is that the OFFICIAL UK civic type R will be shown at the london car show, in like a month.
They should have made the wheels bigger.... (NOT!) I think I just threw up in mouth a little...
We will never have another Type R. The Civic type R is a hatchback (a hatchback with no A/c and no stereo; set up for track racing,) you have alot of bozo's that do not understand the heritage of Sports Hot Hatches, as long as import drag is around and $200 track days exist (and you got kids that cant live without a/c and a stereo system), there will never be another Type R in the states.
Before the new Civic came out i heard that Honda was planning to offer a CRX in North America a couple years after the civic. The timing seems right, who knows maybe we'll get another CRX (that is not a Del Slow).
