exhaust question

Default exhaust question

if i take my under car (cat and pipe) heat shield off, is there any damage that could happen? thanks

not the one on the header, im not worried about that.


oh by the way sorry if this question seams stupid, im just curious. holly ****, sorry for asking.

Nothing you dumb *** just takes the heat shields and no problems!! that is the dumbest question i have ever heard get off honda-tech before someone kicks your ***!!

That is the worst response I have ever hear on honda-tech. Poor grammar, the first sentence isn't even readable, and the second on is a big run on. If you are gonna talk **** to someone. Atleast do it correctly. For the answer to the question, I have no heatsheilds, and have had no heatsheilds for a long time without any ill effects.

I leave the heat shields on whenever possible. Usually I get pissed and f%ck them up too bad to reinstall though

you didn't even last a month before **** came spewing out of your mouth.

anyway, i don't have heat sheilds on the bottom of my car, plus i don't have any carpet. my fiance burns her feet on my tunnel every time she rides with me. its not really dangerous but its kinda annoying.

i must agree with the guys above. this question is really dumb for the simple fact that you didnt define heat shield. it mean it shields the heat coming from the header nothing will go wrong if you take it off. think next time bud you cant expect not to get flamed on here asking that.

i was refering to the first guy to respond, not the orginial poster. i thought his question was fine

hes new and just had to be an *** to someone.its people like him that give this site a bad rep. back to topic.i have taken off my cat and only prob. i have seen with it is its loud as hell.now some muffler places legly cant take your cat off.thats something u have to do yourself.take off cat cut your piping and weld in a pipe so it will bolt back up to the header.
